How to Use

Getting Started

Creating Memories

  • Tap the + button on your dashboard to create a new memory.
  • Add a title, date, location, tags, and as much detail as you'd like.
  • Upload photos, videos, or files by tapping the upload area. On iPhone, choose "Take Photo" for camera or "Choose from Library" for multi-select.
  • Photos of old prints are automatically enhanced with AI perspective correction and quality improvements.

Collections

  • Collections let you group related memories together (e.g., "Family Holidays" or "School Years").
  • Navigate to Collections from the sidebar and tap "New Collection."
  • Add memories to a collection from the collection page or from the memory editor.
  • A single memory can belong to multiple collections.

AI Research

  • Open the AI Research page from the sidebar to start a conversation.
  • Ask the AI to research anything related to your memories: school records, sports stats, local history, news articles, and more.
  • The AI searches the web in real-time and synthesizes findings into a helpful response.
  • Your conversations are saved so you can revisit previous research.

Sharing

  • Share a memory by opening it and tapping the share icon.
  • A unique, secure link is generated that anyone can view without an account.
  • Revoke access anytime by deleting the share link from your memory's settings.
  • You can also share entire collections with a single link.

Privacy & Security

  • All memories are private by default. No one can see them unless you share.
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) is enforced on every database table.
  • Your data is encrypted in transit with TLS/SSL.
  • Your data is never used to train AI models.
  • Delete your account and all data anytime from Settings.

Subscriptions & Billing

  • Archive Pro unlocks AI research credits, 10GB storage, unlimited collections, and more.
  • On iPhone, subscriptions are managed through the App Store. Go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to manage or cancel.
  • On Android, subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Go to Play Store > Payments & subscriptions.
  • On the web, billing is handled via Stripe. Manage your subscription from the Settings page.
  • Cancel anytime. Your data is never deleted when you downgrade.

Account & Sign-In

  • Sign in with Google, Apple, or email/password.
  • If you forgot your password, tap "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page to receive a reset link.
  • To change your email or profile details, go to Settings.
  • To delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Delete Account.
Common Issues

Troubleshooting

Photos won't upload

Check that you've granted photo library access in your device settings. On iPhone, go to Settings > Memory Archive > Photos and select "Full Access." Also ensure each file is under the size limit (250MB free, 5GB on Pro).

Google Sign-In not working

Force-close the app and reopen it. If the issue persists, try signing in with Apple or email/password instead. Make sure you have the latest app version installed.

AI Research isn't responding

Check your internet connection. If you're on the free tier, you may have reached your daily AI credit limit (50 credits/day). Upgrade to Archive Pro for 500 credits/day.

Shared link isn't working

The share link may have been revoked by the memory owner. If you created the link, check that sharing is still active on the memory's settings page.

App is running slowly

Try closing and reopening the app. If you have many photos, the initial load may take a moment. Ensure your device has sufficient storage space available.

Subscription not reflecting after purchase

On iPhone, try tapping "Restore Purchases" in the upgrade dialog. On the web, refresh the page. If the issue persists, contact support with your transaction details.
